Liquid courage, Essential oils and brains

Our brain is a complex and beautiful machine. It is the central part of the nervous system. It is responsible for processing sensory stimuli and directing appropriate behavioral responses to each set of stimuli. The Brain stores memories and is the center of thought. Have you ever felt like your brain has just “switched off?” Thankfully we are living in a time of revolution. We have a greater understanding of the working of the brain than we have ever had.
Our thoughts effect our emotions which affect our perceptions. Toxic thoughts become toxic emotions which become toxic behaviors. Anxiety is the body’s way of preparing to deal with a perceived or actual threat with a future stressful event. Anxiety can include both physical and mental symptoms such as fear, nervousness, nausea, sweating, increased Blood Pressure and heart rate, difficulty concentrating, irritability, restlessness, panic attacks and many other symptoms.
Essential oils have been used successfully with techniques that alter the limbic system response. Diffused in the air or Inhale directly from the hands, placed on the top of the head, the soles of the feet. Applied to auricular emotional points in the ear. In conjunction with positive verbal emotions (which secrete positive chemicals in the body) the oils are taken up into the systems and begin the help that the poor anxious creature needs.
